Laura Linney's portrayal of vulnerable and yet powerful characters has earned her the title of one of the top American actors. After spending the summers in her father's company, Laura Linney became fascinated with the theatre. After that, at Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. After two years of her graduation she started her Broadway career. The following year, she began her career in television. Since then she has been in many films, TV productions and stage shows. Her achievements have been numerous during her professional career, including several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. In spite of her many awards, she still loves the theatre, and has appeared on stage and screen.
