Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and taking wallpaper down with one child strapped on my back while the other babies were crawling into the playpen. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however the project was still a distance to go. In order to furnish the house it would be a huge effort both in budget and time. I would also have to do my favourite shopping. For my budget to remain sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for bargains at estate sales. The routine we had for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage sales, buying old and new pieces and then I would spend the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. My love for furniture repair started with an appearance that was similar to this. Even though our home had been equipped, I couldn't stop. I rented a booth at the local market and even sold some items there. Eventually, my collection grew enough that the area I had available was not enough. The number of people who visited my home in just one weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. Growing Days is the result from this. Growing Days was not only an incredibly successful business, but it was also a loving family. It was like I was able to find the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new business. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my sweet daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. The direction of my business was great, but I had to take some time off. I decided to step back and spend some time at home, with my children. It was just what I needed. After several minutes. I began receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. A majority of those calling me were people who had came to my house at one of my furniture open houses. As I went along I began adding clients one by one. But it wasn't that long before I was managing several clients, and had an extremely successful business of home renovation. Had you told me my venture would end up being the premise for a DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. In fact, I do smile when I think about it.
