Zazie Olivia Beetz was born Berlin in 1991. She was born in Berlin, Germany. Her mother is a South African-American social worker from New York. Jennifer Aniston attended the same high school as Beetz. After graduating from LaGuardia, Beetz went on to study French at Skidmore College. When she graduated from the college Beetz began to audition immediately and was offered the role as Van at Atlanta. Beetz was born to a German father and an African American mom who was from Berlin, was raised within New York and spoke German and English. Zazie has been performing in theatres within the community as well as on stage in New York throughout her early years. Zazie discovered that she loved acting when she was in high school. Zendaya's Disney Channel Breakout role Zendaya's dancing abilities earned her acclaim. In 2010 the dancer and actress was finally offered her breakthrough performance when she was cast in the role of Rocky Blue in the show "Shake it Up," with her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya's vegetarianism was first noticed at 11 when she visited the local slaughterhouse on an excursion with her father. PEOPLE reported that she said: "I thought all those animals were horrifically cruel getting crammed into the place and waiting for slaughter. "I couldn't have believed it was how I'd obtained my food!" Since that time, she's been on an incredibly strict vegan diet.
