Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian who scored a total of 10 in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach, when she was just six years old. She began competing in the junior national championships in 1969 placing 13th and she did well in the 1970 competition. She was awarded three golds during her very first contest at a pre-Olympic junior meet in 1972, which was a communist-controlled countries. In 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-around champion. In addition, she won four gold and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior and was held in the year 1975. This was the first time she participated as an adult. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars with an inverse salto that doubled backward. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater as well as her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her professional career in the world of entertainment in her teens. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater in the traveling show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
